Most studios we work with run IT on one person. That works right up until they take the two weeks they have earned, and the render farm picks that Tuesday to fall over. We have been the number those studios call for years — the standby resource that already knows the environment, so nobody spends a vacation on the phone.
This is the same prepaid block as any other engagement — there is no separate standby retainer and no minimum. Unused hours stay yours.
