We are seeking a well-qualified and passionate individual to join our team as a System Administrator. The ideal candidate is someone that is hands-on, has a creative approach to problem-solving, enthusiastic, and is a self-starter who is proactive and hard working. Experience supporting creatives in a deadline-driven environment will be heavily considered. This is a career in a cool industry that will get you hands-on with cutting edge technology that you simply won’t touch anywhere else. AnimationTech is an established IT consulting and equipment sales/rental company based in Los Angeles, CA with over 10 years in our industry. We provide technical support and equipment rentals and sales to VFX studios in Los Angeles and New York metro areas. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide front-line phone support to clients via remote assistance and, when required, go on-site to resolve issues
  • Prioritize incoming support requests, investigate, and escalate as necessary
  • Perform day-to-day System Administration of client environments, including but not limited to system monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity management
  • Clearly document all actions taken in our Spiceworks ticketing system
  • Follow-up with users to ensure complete resolution of tickets
  • Work with senior engineers to ensure client environments are healthy and SLA goals are met
  • Assist operations team with inventory management.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as required in a timely manner.
  • Manage desk moves and changes
  • Image workstations and laptops, setting up monitors, counting inventory, and deploying hardware accessories
  • Build rentals machines
  • Deliver and pick-up rental equipment and/or software
  • Produce “how-to” guides and other documentation to aid clients and other technical support staff
  • Engage in continuing self-improvement studies
  • Other duties as assigned
